SARAI

BY PAUL ANTHONY MORRIS · ARCOLA THEATRE

Sarai is an epic journey of one woman's determination to become the Founder of a new nation. After a series of phantom pregnancies Sarai is consoled by the zeal of her ambition. With her rivals now out manoeuvred, Sarai proceeds to lead her caravan into a new land. However, the journey is far from smooth as she struggles to overcome famine, disease and civil war. As dissenting voices threaten to revolt, Sarai is given an ultimatum, to forfeit her leadership or risk being exiled from the nation she has fought so bravely to establish.
